I'm still wondering why this book is still being pushed for the children to read. This novel is full of stereotypes like the greedy large boy, the spoilt brat and the poor kind boy. There is a lot of anti-fat behaviour which shouldn't be shown to the younger generation.

Anyway, besides to negative description the novel is what it is, the traditional tale of a boy who deserved better and was lucky enough to receive it.

After reading this novel, I still do not believe that Willy Wonka is a pedophile like others say so. Yes it is quite strange that a man would invite 5 children at random into his factory and 5 of them are extremely damaged at the end of the experience. This in itself is questionable as he doesn't even appear to be upset by this. However in the golden ticket he said that he asked for the children to be accompanied by an adult figure. This clarifying that the children would be safe.
